David Watson Joiner, 63, of Savannah and formerly of Statesboro, died Thursday evening, September 21, 2017, at Hospice House.
Born in Statesboro, Georgia, he was a son of the late Rufus Joiner and the late Edna Mae Barrow Joiner. David was a member of Bull Street Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the University of Florida. David owned and operated a residential and commercial construction company and also provided protective service to private individuals. He was a jazz musician drummer and provided backup to Gregg Allman and Ben Tucker.
Survivors include his fianc??e, Jane Wysocki Bilka; his daughter, Angel Joiner; his grandchildren, and his cousins, James Baker and his wife, Barbara, David and Sandra.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning, September 30, 2017, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will be private.
