David Arthur 'D. D.' Dowd, 57, of Pooler, Georgia, died Wednesday afternoon, February 4, 2015, in Pooler, Georgia.
Born in Savannah, he was a son of the late Ovie Glenn 'O. G.' Dowd and the late Louise Fouche Dowd. David was an aircraft cabin maker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Barnes.
Surviving are two daughters, Leslie Belin and Stephanie Dowd; two sons, David Joseph 'D. J.' Dowd and Steven Dowd; four grandchildren, and a brother, Steve Dowd.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.
The funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Rickey E. Rogers. Interment will be private.
