Dr. Bueno was born on October 23, 1925, in Istanbul, Turkey, the son of a cheese merchant. He was the first child in his family to attend University, was graduated from the Istanbul School of Medicine in 1950 and trained as an internist. He moved to Israel a few years later and retrained as an anesthesiologist. He met his wife Rachel, a surgical nurse, working in the operating room. He served in both the Turkish and Israeli military services. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1975, where he completed again a residency in anesthesiology and passed his foreign medical boards on his first try at the age of 51 in his sixth language. He retired to Florida in the early 1990s and moved to Savannah over 10 years ago. David enjoyed listening to classical music and especially enjoyed seeing his four grandchildren. He was extremely proud that both of his children and his granddaughter, Sarah, have followed his path to a career in Medicine.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Sunday morning at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Steven B. Henkin.
The family respectfully requests that flowers be omitted.
