Daniel Lee Walton, 59, of Guyton, Georgia and husband of Dawn Wilson Walton, died Tuesday morning, October 20, 2020, at his home with his family by his side.
Born in Baxley, Georgia, he was a son of Kathryn Sellers Walton and the late Albert Lee Walton. Daniel was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Army for twelve years. He worked at Georgia Pacific for eighteen years and retired, after twelve years, from the Georgia Ports Authority. Daniel was a member of Faith Ministries in Guyton and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Daniel also loved cars and motorcycles, but most of all, he loved his family.
Surviving are his wife, Dawn Wilson Walton; sons, Scott L. Walton and his wife Tiffany, Stephen D. Walton, Ray L. Walton, Jonah L. Walton and Caleb J. Walton; a daughter, Amber D. Walton; his mother, Kathryn Sellers Walton; his brothers, David Walton, Ernie Walton and his wife Kathy, Donald Walton and his wife Jeanne, and Alvin Walton and his wife Susan; his grandchildren, Nalani, Cole, Kyle, Chase, and Noah; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o'clock in the evening, Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 6 o'clock in the evening, Thursday, October 22, 2020 in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by Pastor Bruce Meyers.
