SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Daisy Mell Franklin Cook, 95, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Ernest Buford Cook, passed away Wednesday morning, October 21, 2009, at John Wesley Villas under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Born in Statesboro, Georgia, she was a daughter of Joseph William Franklin and the late Bertha Donaldson Franklin. She was member of the Progressive Primitive Baptist Church in Savannah and was a homemaker.
Surviving are one son, Rodney Franklin Cook and his wife, Penny, of Bridgeport, Connecticut; one grandson, Geoffrey Warren Bailey; one sister in-law, Ouida Franklin, of Brooklet, Georgia; one brother in-law, Jimmy Hatcher and his wife, Betty, of St. Petersburg, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon at the graveside, Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, conducted by The Reverend Peter J. Hartmann.
