SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Christine "Christy" Frances Palmer Pingel, 54, died suddenly at her Windsor Forest home on August 3, 2010.
Born and raised in Savannah, she graduated from Windsor Forest High School and attended Armstrong Atlantic University. She was in the process of earning her MBA degree. A talented artist, many of her works are exhibited at the A. T. Hun gallery in City Market. Christy worked as the Human Resources Liaison for Compassionate Care Hospice in Savannah. Her husband, Stuart Pingel predeceased her.
Surviving are her son, Michael Sanborn of Savannah; her mother, Katherine "Kathy" Haeberle of Savannah; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Clifton Wilson of Savannah and Kim and Thomas Alban of Pioneertown, California; two nieces, Angie Alban of Pioneertown, California, and Parry Cobb of Charlotte, North Carolina, and a host of friends.
The memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Arlene Meyer. Private interment will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after the service.
