Christine Saxon Lamb, 83, of Savannah, Georgia, and widow of Dilmus Lee Lamb, died Tuesday morning, July 22, 2014, at Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center and under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.
Born January 3, 1931, in Millen, Georgia, she was the oldest daughter of the late Henry E. Saxon and the late Edna Chance Saxon. Chris, as she was known to family and friends, was an active partner in the operation of Custom Window Company and a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dilmus Lee Lamb and Graham Everett Turner, Sr.; her son, Graham Everett Turner, Jr., and brothers, Charles E. Saxon and Robert Lamar Saxon.
Surviving are her grandson, Jason Turner and his wife, Sandi, of Fort Bliss, Texas; her step-daughter, Marilyn Lamb Sears and her husband, The Reverend Ron Sears of Kansas City, Missouri; her step-son, Anthony Lamb and his wife, Kimberly, of Sharpsburg, Georgia; her brothers, Marvin H. Saxon and Harvey Saxon, both of Savannah, Georgia; a sister, Elma S. Donaldson and her husband, Richard A. Donaldson, of Mineral Bluff, Georgia and a number of grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 9 until 10 o'clock Friday morning at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. Herbert F. Hubbard.?? Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey ' East.
