Cheryl Lee Rainey Rager, 72, of Savannah, Georgia, died Sunday evening, July 19, 2020, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in Erick, Oklahoma, she was a daughter of the late Willie Lee Rainey and the late Lillian Sloan Rainey. Cheryl lived in San Antonio, California for fourteen years before moving to Savannah six years ago. She was a homemaker and was very active in her son's lives having been the president of the soccer league, helping with the Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts and then helped manage a local skating rink so the kids could afford to skate competitively. Cheryl was a Christian and loved to cross stitch, arts and crafts and most of all, her family.
Survivors include three sons; Matthew E. Rager of Savannah, Georgia, Michael L. Rager and his wife, Shawna of Fairfax, Virginia and Lucas S. Rager and his wife, Monique of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Joyce Follinus, and her husband, James of Casa Grande, Arizona; four grandchildren, Mikaila Rager, Hannah Rager, Neveah Chapman, and Alexis Chapman; many nieces and nephews, and her loving dog and companion Baxter.
