Chef Nicholas Mueller

Chef Nicholas Mueller, 56, a native of Savannah, died December 13, 2024. He is survived by

his sister, Rebecca Mueller Aliffi, her children Margaret Aliffi and Yano Aliffi, his brother

Benjamin Mueller, Sister-and-brother-in-law Lisa and Joe Rowland, nieces Lindsey Rowland and Katlyn Rowland and several cousins.

For well over 25 years Chef Nick was an active member of the local restaurant and hospitality

community. As co-owner and operator of Mahgniffe, LLC, along with his wife Tracy, Nick brought top level cuisine to all he served - whether it was a small intimate evening, family cookout, wedding, executive function, reception or gala. 

 His food was remarkable for its inventiveness, excellent quality and superb taste. Over the years Nick won many awards including Best Savannah Caterer, Top 1% of American Chefs in Best Chefs America, and Best Chef by Savannah Magazine.

 He and his wife Tracy believed in helping others and supported many local

endeavors including Second Harvest Food Bank and Chef’sTable as well as being pet parents to numerous rescues over the years.

 Nick proudly served in the Army and Air National Guard from 1989-2003.

 He graduated from Savannah High School in 1986. Nick earned his Bachelor of Arts from

Armstrong State College in 1993 before earning his AOS from The New England Culinary

Institute in Burlington Vermont in 1996.

 Nick and Tracy Mueller will be missed greatly. 

 There will be a private, family only burial in early January.
