Charles Britt Morgensen

Born to Tommy Charles and Sharon Ann Ryker Morgensen on March 17, 1962, passed away on April 5, 2025, in his home in Savannah GA from an extended illness.

Charles served his country as a marine in his younger years. He enjoyed umpiring baseball and teaching kids how to play the game. He was a tradesman restoring homes in the historic Savannah area. He was a carpenter, plumber, builder, but his passion was in painting. He loved to help the homeless, veterans and drug addicts to get clean and have a fresh start in life. He had the ability to see the good in others, when others couldn’t.

He loved life and with all the ups and downs, twists and turns he would smile and try to find the positive in even bad situations. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Because his birthday was on St Patty’s day, he always celebrated it to the fullest. Even his business carried the Leprechaun name. His greatest and most prized accomplishment in life was becoming a father in his later years. He cherished his daughter, Bayleigh. Once he had her, she was his one and main concern in life. His laughter, his zest for life and his love for people, especially children, will be greatly missed.

Charles family members that preceded him in death was his mother, Sharon Burt, sister, Cheryl Stollberg, his uncle and aunt, Don and Carolyn Cerka, cousin, Mark Cerka, grandparents from both sides of the family.

He leaves behind his precious daughter, Bayleigh Ruth Morgensen, his father, Tommy Charles Morgensen, sister, Tracy Clements, brother, Michael Morgensen, Cousins, Cindy Cerka and Tim Cerka, many nieces, nephews and great niece and nephews.
