Charles William Gill VII, 46, of Savannah, GA, passed away on July 21, 2015, following a short battle with cancer. Charles was employed at the Louis Dreyfus Sugar Refinery as a software engineer and leaves behind a loving family of co-workers and friends there. Charles was an avid reader who dabbled in writing, a devoted Steelers\' fan, gamer extraordinaire, talented guitarist and song writer, lover of philosophy and religious studies, and an amazing father, son, husband and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles William Gill.
He is survived by his mother, Betty; wife, Melody; daughters, Bethany and Emmy; son, Charles (Chase); and loyal dog,Tomlin. He is also survived by his sisters, Cindy (Tony) Alexander and Melissa (Sean) Johnson and maternal grandmother, Carol (Pete) Mason. In addition, Charles has nine awesome nieces and nephews: Sam (Hope), Dan, and Amanda Adams; Joe, Andrew, and Rebecca Johnson; and Kathryn, Michaela, and Wesley Reed; a great niece, Kaelyn, and great nephew, Braedyn. Other survivors include in-laws Robert and Sue Reed, brother-in-law, Michael Reed, and many devoted aunts and uncles, loving cousins and supportive friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning, August 8, 2015, at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer - 51 Wilmington Island Road.
