Charlie Armfield, 91, of Savannah, GA passed away Saturday May 27, 2023.
Charlie was a loving father and grandfather. He was a very giving, hardworking, and faithful man. He loved his family, always caring for those in need. He enjoyed his breakfast in the morning, old western shows, traveling, and golf. He was a "Macgyver", always fixing anything in his own way. He gave faithfully for many years St. Jude, ASPCA, and Wounded Warrior to name a few. He was a Parishioner at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. He served in the US Army and was in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Minnie Armfield; wife of 56 years, Patricia "Patty" Armfield; sisters, his twin Carolyn Armfield and Virginia Nail; and three sons, Michael, Tony, and Kenneth Armfield.
He is survived by his four daughters, Karen McElveen (Tony), Terri Myers (Bo), Kim Beasley (Larry), and Pam Luk (Robert); six grandchildren, Shayne McElveen, Jessica White (Alan), Richard Luk (Ashley), Preston Luk (Jessica), Jennifer Gallimore (Tristan), and Kristen Walsh (Ryan); six great-grandchildren, Lucas, Jace, Brady, Ellie, McKenzie, and Madelyn; and his five cats.
A Visitation will be held Thursday June 1, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gamble Funeral Service with a Rosary Service to begin at 7:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday June 2, 2023 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Interment will follow service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be to ASPCA, St. Jude, or Wounded Warrior Project.
