Cathy Black Roberts, 64, of Savannah, Georgia, died Tuesday afternoon, November 16, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Frank Houston Black and the late Mary Josephine Cook Dane. Cathy was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. She graduated from Georgia State University where she earned her Bachelor in Business. Cathy later graduated from the University of Georgia where she earned her degree in Marketing Education. She earned her Masters of Education Technology at the American College of Education. Cathy taught school and was a DECA advisor at Woodstock High School. She loved watching movies and football, especially UGA football.
Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Roberts Payton and her fianc??e, Brian Newsome; her son, Allen Hembree Roberts; her granddaughter, Caroline Hembree Payton; her sister and companion, Nancy Utley; her half-sister, Jamie Black; her step-brother, Russell Black; her uncles, Rick Cook and his wife, Carol, and William Black and his wife, Mary Ann; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, November 19, 2021, at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church conducted by Father R. Kevin Kelly.
