Carolyn Aline Dukes Sinclair died on August 13, 2022. She left behind an unhealthy body and mind, and is now herself again, at home with Jesus.
Carolyn was born on December 28, 1941 to Gene and Aline Dukes. She grew up, lived in, and loved Savannah. As a very young wife and mother, she had to make homes in several other cities. She always did so with grace and maturity, well beyond her years. Always a career woman, Carolyn and her husband, Jack, operated Sinclair Business Machines for 26 years.
Carolyn was a loving and sacrificial mother and grandmother. One or both of her granddaughters literally spent hundreds of Friday nights and Saturdays with Gran. She was always available when her family needed help.
For many years, Carolyn served in several capacities at Cresthill Baptist Church and the Savannah Baptist Association. She loved the Lord and served Him well. In the Ruth Sunday School class, she was a teacher, friend, and mentor to many women over the years.
Those who will cherish memories of Carolyn include her husband of 41 years, Raymond Jackson 'Jack' Sinclair, daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Terry Greenway; granddaughters, Kari Greenway and Kory MacPhail (Mark); great-grandson, Tristan MacPhail; brother, Richard Dukes; sisters, Sue Williams (Ben), and Janice Vaughn, and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
2 Corinthians 5:8
