SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Carolyn Jean Troxell Robinson, 78, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of MSgt Chester Demery Robinson, U. S. Army (Ret.), died Friday morning, May 18, 2012, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in LaGrange, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Silbert Beckham Troxell and the late Virginia Lee Tingle Troxell. Mrs. Robinson was a devoted member of Bible Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of The Master's Sunday School Class.
Surviving are one daughter, Yvonne R. Tramell and her husband, Tim, of Savannah, Georgia; one son, D. Dale Robinson and his wife, Patrice, of Savannah, Georgia; six grandchildren, Candace N. Thigpen and Judd Harris, Mandy L. Tramell, Nicholas W. Robinson and his wife, Courtney, Ashley R. Price, Shelley R. Stringer and her husband, Chris, and Andrew C. Robinson; seven great-grandchildren, Rylee Harris, Laine Harris, Chandler Robinson, Jacey Robinson, Logan Price, Anabel Stringer, and Kahlan Stringer; one sister, Frances "Frankie" Montgomery and her husband Bill, and her nephew, Michael Montgomery and his wife, Katonna, all of LaGrange, Kentucky; one brother, Johnny Troxell, of Crestwood, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock Monday morning at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. Herbert F. Hubbard. Interment will be private.
