Carolyn Godley Gedelman, 78, of Leander, Texas and wife of John Lester Gedelman, died Monday, January 4, 2021.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Nathan Carl Godley and the late Mabel Cregar Godley. Carolyn was a former personal secretary for Savannah City Court Judge Oliver, a Labor and Delivery nurse for 15 years, and for 26 years she was a financial planner. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a Director for Community Bio-Refineries, LLC. Carolyn loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of almost 51 years, John Lester Gedelman; one son, Jeff Gedelman; one daughter, Julie Gedelman Wilcutt and her husband, Criss Wilcutt; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Whitaker and her husband, William; one brother, the Reverend Nathan C. Godley and his wife, Patricia, and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, January 12, 2021, at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Nathan C. Godley.
