Brian Jeffrey Storz, 57, of Tulsa, OK and formerly of Savannah, GA died peacefully on Tuesday evening, April 17, 2018, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Betty Storz, and older brother, Paul Storz.
Brian was a 1978 graduate of The Savannah Country Day School. He received his bachelor\'s degree from The University of Georgia and a Law degree from The University of Tulsa School of Law.
After a short time in the legal world, Brian decided to pursue a career in the area of his first love and passion, music. An accomplished musician and songwriter, Brian wrote and recorded albums with the bands \"The Crosstie Walkers\" and \"Repo Ranch\", among others. He previously worked for a music promoter in Atlanta, and most recently was working with a concert promoter in Tulsa.
Brian was also passionate about sports. He was a rabid fan of The University of Georgia and The Atlanta Braves.
Brian left an indelible impression on everyone he met. If you met him, you never forgot him. His family and friends will always remember his keen intellect and incredible sense of humor. He had strong opinions, yet had a soft spot in his heart for animals and for the underdog.
He is survived by sister, Bonnie Wilson (Mike) of Savannah, GA; nephew, Jack Storz of Decatur, GA; niece, Katie Mallery (Wes) of Grants, NM; nephew, Kelly Wilson (Anne) of Roswell, GA; nephew, Chris Wilson (Amanda) of Chesterfield, MO, and 5 great-nephews and 2 great-nieces.
He is also survived by hundreds of friends from throughout the world who loved him.
A celebration of his life will take place at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, May 26, 2018, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue. Afterwards, the family will receive friends at a place to be announced at a later date.
