Brenda Lee Quick Murphy, 74, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 3, 2020.
Born in Waynesboro, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Elmo Quick and the late Beatrice Flakes Quick.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a husband William Thomas Murphy Jr., and by a son, Joseph Dean Taylor.
Brenda is survived by her spouse of 17 years, Watson Woods; son Travis Michael Taylor and his wife Valerie, of Savannah; her granddaughter, Mia Celeste Taylor; one sister, Patricia Mangum of Savannah; one brother, Kenneth Quick of Sylvania; ??Her many nieces and nephews, and extended family of Watson's children and their families.
Brenda spent her life in the areas of Waynesboro, Sylvania, Savannah, and most recently Bloomingdale. To her family she was Mama, Granny B, and Brenda. She was a kind, funny, and spirited lady who enjoyed dancing, country music, and soap operas. A perfect day was going to the beach, being on the river, and conversations at her kitchen table. At the young age of 69, she earned grandparent bragging rights when her grandchild Mia was born. She will forever remain the beloved Granny B.
