SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Bonnie Maxine Jordan Whitted, 77, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Jack Allan Whitted, Sr., died Thursday morning, May 27, 2010, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Toombs County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Jordan and the late Matilda Inez James Jordan. She was a member of Windsor Forest Baptist Church and was a phone operator for Bell South. Mrs. Whitted was also an Avon and Tupperware representative for many years.
Surviving are two sons, Jack Allan Whitted, Jr. and his wife, Cathy, of Springfield, Georgia, and David Anthony Whitted and his wife, Michelle, of Savannah, Georgia; one brother, James Edwin Jordan and his wife, Mary Ann, of Kannapolis, North Carolina, and seven grandchildren, Amanda Whitted, Alli Whitted, Dillion Whitted, April Hyden-Maximuk, Garet Hyden, Holly Scoggins-Kilingaman and Steven Scoggins.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 o'clock Friday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. Douglas R. McCart and Mr. Guy Rathbun. Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
