Billy Joe Head

Billy Joe Head, 82, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Eunice Amanda McNeil Head,?? died of natural causes at his home on Tuesday afternoon, January 20, 2015, with his wife by his side.



Born in Rotan, Texas, he was a son of the late John Head and the late Eva Adair Head.

Billy Joe proudly served his country for twenty years in the United States Navy in Korea and Vietnam. He also worked for seventeen years at Coastal Corrections Institute.



He lived a life as a true Christian, dedicated to the Lord and never met a stranger. With a heart of gold, he will truly be missed.



He was a true and faithful husband to his wife of fifty-seven years, and a loving and dedicated father to his daughter, Holly Head, and his son, Shawn Head. He was a proud grandfather of five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.



The funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by Bishop Paul A. Hodge. Interment will be private.
