Betty Adler Nathan, 87, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Irving Nathan, died Sunday evening, June 15, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Sam Adler and the late Faye Goldman Adler. Mrs. Nathan was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim and was a homemaker and accomplished artist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, and their daughter, Sarah Nathan.
Surviving are one daughter, Celia Nathan of Greenbelt, Maryland; two sons, Harris Nathan of Savannah, Georgia and Mark Nathan and his wife, Carol, of Tybee Island, Georgia; four grandchildren, Sarah and Clara Joyce of Silver Spring, Maryland, Steven and Jenny Monroe of Satellite Beach, Florida; two great-grandchildren, Henry and Ella Monroe of Satellite Beach, Florida, and one sister, Sylvia Udinsky and her husband, Burt, of Savannah, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Ruven B. Barkan.
