Betty Louise Rogers Fowler, 90 passed away after a short illness on January 1, 2014. She was born in Jesup, GA on March 27, 1923 to Will and Alma Rogers. ??In 1941 she married Lee Fowler who was in the Air Force and was stationed in Savannah. They had one son, Jerry Lee Fowler in 1942. ??As the wife of a Master Sergeant in the Air Force she traveled and lived in the Philippines and England before settling back in Savannah.



Betty will best be remembered for her sense of humor! She was always the life of the party and everyone who knew her, loved her. ??She loved a good laugh, chocolate, playing cards, dreaming of winning the lottery, camping, and her dogs, but most of all she loved her family.



Betty is survived by her only son, Jerry Lee Fowler, her only granddaughter Laura Spencer and her husband Vincent, and two great-grandchildren Amelia and Davis Spencer who were the light of her life. ??She is also survived by her sister, Pat Curry, brother Jim Rogers, and several nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lee Fowler, and sisters Juanita Gilliam and Margaret Martin.



The family wishes to thank the many caregivers over the years at Savannah Commons, especially the wonderful and caring staff at Azalealand Nursing Home, and Hospice Savannah. We are eternally grateful for their love, care and dedication.



The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 o'clock??Friday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.



A memorial service will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend John A. Haney. Private burial will be in Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort South Carolina.
