Betty Huggins Rogers Brown, 68, of Lake View, South Carolina and wife of William Ray Brown, passed into her eternal home Friday morning, September 28, 2012, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, South Carolina.



Born December 25, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Sam Huggins and the late Sadie Garner Huggins. Betty was a faithful member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She retired as a vocational education teacher with the Florence County School System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Rogers; three brothers, David, Shorty and S.J., and two sisters, Lavinia Sessions and Sara Nesbit.



Surviving are her husband, William Ray Brown; one daughter, Jerri Sanders and her husband, Robert; grandson, Zack Sanders and his wife, Kaylee; granddaughters, Brittany Graham and her husband, Dustin, Brandy Sanders and Ashley Sanders; one great-granddaughter, Raylynn Sanders; one brother, James Huggins; one sister, Linda Doyle; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, her church family and many friends, including the 'Sassy Hattitudes' of Lake View and her special caregiver, Kathy Pittman.



The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 o'clock Monday afternoon in Piney Grove Baptist Church.



The funeral service will be held at 3 o\'clock Monday afternoon in Piney Grove Baptist Church conducted by The Reverend Curtis Tyler and The Reverend James Holliday. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
