Hudsonville, Michigan
Betsy Joy (Leathead) Koster left this life suddenly and went into the arms of her loving Lord and Savior on Sunday July 28,2024. Betsy was deeply loved, adored and treasured by her husband Phil Koster of 22 years, her entire family and many, many friends. With her kind and gentle spirit, she brightened every place she entered and enriched every life she encountered. If you met Betsy even once you remembered her for a lifetime, and as her friend, you were blessed with a friend forever.
Betsy loved life, traveling, sharing her gift of hospitality, fast cars. She knew just where to find the perfect card to brighten someone’s day. She knew how to make people feel loved, important and welcomed. Betsy was close to her sister JoAnn Schoen, her family, and had close relationships with her cousins. She was “Aunty B” to her nieces and nephews all the cousins’ kids as well. She showered all kids with love and attention as if they were her own. Aunty B was definitely a favorite at any family gathering, always wearing that bright welcoming smile.
Her life’s journey was far too short but it was fully lived with love, purpose and care for others. Betsy loved the Lord and as a follower of Jesus, His light shined brightly through her. Words cannot express how grateful we are to have been blessed by sharing our lives with her.
A celebration of life open house will be held at the Bauer Christian Reformed Church at 4958 Bauer Road Hudsonville, Michigan from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday August 10, 2024 with a tribute prayer at 12:00.
