Bertha Louise Hardison Munir, 78, of Springfield, Georgia and wife of Nur Munir, transitioned Friday morning, March 4, 2022, at her home.
Born in Montezuma, Georgia and raised in Fort Valley, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late William Hardison and the late Mammie Lee Kleckly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Nur Munir, who would support and visit her each and every day in the hospital, supporting all of her endeavors; six children, Barbara Coke, Grady Mangham, Barnard Mangham, Theodore Munir, LaTosha Munir, and the baby De Munir; sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren.
Momma made her way to glory from home just like she wanted to. Even though she is not here in body she is still near in spirit.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 o'clock Thursday afternoon, March 10, 2022, at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 Friday afternoon, March 11, 2022, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will take place in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
