Bertha Grunin Lamhut, 95, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Morris Hyman Lamhut, died Sunday morning, December 2, 2018, at Buckingham South with her family at her side.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Meyer Grunin and the late Celia Plotkin Grunin. Mrs. Lamhut was a member of Congregation Bnai Brith Jacob. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lamhut was a life member of Hadassah and a former Brownie leader for the Girl Scouts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Grunin Gincel, and three brothers, Joel Grunin, Israel Grunin and Reuben 'Ruby' Grunin.
Survivors include her husband of almost 74 years, Morris Hyman Lamhut; two daughters, Faye Brill and Sherry L. Spevack and her husband, Michael; one son, Lester Lamhut; three grandchildren, Louis Jacob Spevack, Janine Spevack Kaiser and her husband, Michael, and Mark David Brill, and two great-grandchildren, Naliyah Eve Kaiser and Lincoln Azrael Kaiser.
The funeral service will be held at 11 Tuesday morning at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
