Bernice Kirschner Bernstein, 87, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Hartt Eugene Bernstein, died Saturday evening, December 22, 2012, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Irving Kirschner and the late Esther Kirshner. Mrs. Bernstein was of the Jewish faith. She retired from Barnett Bank after many years as an Assistant Administrator.
Surviving are one daughter, Iris Bernstein Franklin of Palmyra, New Jersey; one son, Richard Bernstein of Richmond Hill, Georgia; six grandchildren, Wendy Baublitz and her husband, Travis, Stephanie Newman and her husband, Jacob, Jessica Bernstein, Brent Franklin, Erica Franklin and Erin Barnhart and her husband, Scott, and four great-grandchildren, Jacqueline Baublitz, David Newman, Logan Newman , Alexis Bernstein and ??Jacob Newman, Jr.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at the graveside, Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina, conducted by Rabbi Brad Bloom.
