SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Bernard Taratoot, 73, of Savannah, Georgia, husband of Rosalyn Keyserling Taratoot, died Saturday evening, December 25, 2010, at his home under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he was a son of the late Benjamin Taratoot and the late Bessie Shulman Taratoot. Mr. Taratoot was a member of Congregation Mickve Israel and was a United States Army veteran. He was a retired controller for Piedmont National in Atlanta.
Surviving are his wife, Rosalyn Keyserling Taratoot of Savannah, Georgia; one son, Brad Taratoot of Savannah, Georgia; one daughter, Stefanie Smith and her husband, David, of Atlanta, Georgia; two grandchildren, Samantha Smith and Benjamin Smith; one sister, Sheila Taratoot of Atlanta, Georgia, and one brother, Louis Taratoot and his wife, Bunnie, of Atlanta, Georgia.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Tuesday at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Beth Israel Congregation, Beaufort, South Carolina, conducted by Rabbi Arnold Mark Belzer. Interment will be in Beth Israel cemetery.
