SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Belle Cohen 96, of Savannah Georgia, widow of Marvin Patrick Cohen died Friday night October 7, 2011 at Hospice Savannah.
She was born in Chicago and was married to her high school sweetheart for 68 years, a wonderful athlete; she loved fishing, entertaining, bowling and golf. She shot two hole in one, with one being on her 83rd birthday. Great at games, mah jong and bridge, her greatest love though was her family. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son Steven Cohen.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol Devine (John) of Savannah and Gayle Tipp (Jay Hay) Mainville, Ohio; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Buckingham South for being so very caring as well the staff at Hospice Savannah. Also to her special friend Mr. Hodges Lewis who was always watching out for her.
Graveside services will be in Chicago on Tuesday.
