FAIR PLAY, SOUTH CAROLINA AND SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Basil Lukin passed away in Seneca, S.C. on February 28, 2011 after a short illness. Basil was born on May 20, 1919 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He moved to Savannah after service in Europe in World War II, and lived in Savannah until earlier this year. He is survived by his wife, Doris; by his children and their spouses - Teri and Steven Zahn and Mitchell and Karen Lukin - and by their children and their children's children.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
