Barrie Marie Bahr, 70, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of John F. 'Jack' Bahr, died Tuesday morning, April 2, 2013, at her home.
Barrie was born on March 22, 1943 in New Brunswick, NJ, the daughter of Delbert E. and Marie E. (Frey) Willis. Mrs. Bahr created and directed Chapel Day Nursery, a pre-school and was a teacher and reading specialist for many years in the Dearborn, Michigan public school system. Barrie was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Elizabeth 'Jeannie' Nastus.
Barrie is survived by her husband, John F. 'Jack' Bahr; daughter, Laurie L. Robillard; son, John F. Bahr III and his wife, Sherreen; grandchildren, Brielle Bahr, Caylee Robillard, John F. 'Drew' Bahr IV, and Dylan Robillard; brother-in-laws, Thomas Bahr and his wife, Roseanne, James Bahr and his wife, Amy, and Carmen Nastus, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 o'clock Friday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Mr. Dewain E. Smith. Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
