Barbara Brubaker Sorrells

Barbara Jean Brubaker Sorrells, 76, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Kellor Bell Sorrells, died Monday morning, August 15, 2016, at her home.



Born in Ijamsville, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Lee Brubaker and the late Evelyn Lare Brubaker. Mrs. Sorrells was a member of Chevis Oaks Baptist Church. She retired as a secretary for the Chatham County Board of Education. Mrs. Sorrells loved her Church, her family, and gospel music.



In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Alan Richard Sorrells.



Surviving are one daughter, Shannon L. Sorrells of Savannah, Georgia; one son, Kevin W. Sorrells of Savannah, Georgia; six grandchildren, Danielle Sorrells Akrong and her husband, Cecil, Deanna Sorrells, Lauren Moore, Tiffany Jones, Sean Sorrells and Frankie Jones.



A memorial service will be held at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon, August 22, 2016, at Chevis Oaks Baptist Church. Interment will be private.
