SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Barbara Waite Rovolis, 68, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Emanuel Tash Rovolis, died Monday morning, September 21, 2009, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late William Davis Waite and the late Mary White Waite. Mrs. Rovolis was a member of St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church . She was a graduate of Savannah High School. Mrs. Rovolis worked in the Proof Department at C & S Bank and then she moved to a long career in medical management. All that knew her loved her and people were particularly drawn to her wit and humor. She will be greatly missed by all - especially her family. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Judy W. Owens.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary E. Rovolis-Jones and her husband, Randy, of Savannah, Georgia; three sons, Tash Emanuel Rovolis and his wife, Anna, Bill D. Rovolis and Donald E. Rovolis, all of Savannah, Georgia, and seven grandchildren, Tara, Brandon, Colin, Teddy, Kaity, Connor and Shelby.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Wednesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue, with the Trisagion service being held at 7 o'clock in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Father Vasile Mihai. Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
