Barbara Witte Charmatz, 74, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Dr. Arthur Edward Charmatz, died Tuesday morning, November 9, 2021, in Savannah, Georgia with her family at her side.
Barbara was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and grew up in Narberth, Pennsylvania. She attended Lower Merion High School and went on to graduate from Brevard College in North Carolina. She moved to Savannah with her husband, Arthur, and their children in 1976.?? She received her RN from Armstrong State University and worked briefly at Memorial Hospital. She had a passion for animals, especially, cats and horses.?? She enjoyed working in her yard, redecorating her house and spending time with her friends and family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Romanoski.?? She is survived by her children, Shawn Perry Cottingham, Jeff Perry, Micah Charmatz Valbuena, David Charmatz, and her 9 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10 until 12 o\'clock, Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
