Asher Ward Smith passed peacefully in the arms of his loving parents on January 23, 2022.
He was born on August 18, 2021, at 7:45 AM to Stuart Ward Smith and Lauryn Williams Smith. During his 5 short months here on earth, Asher touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. He always lit up a room with his infectious smile. Asher's life was such a blessing and a gift to his family and all who knew him.
Survivors include his parents, Stuart Ward Smith and Lauryn Williams Smith; his brother, Lukas J. Smith; his maternal grandfather, Jerry D. Williams of Camilla, Georgia; his maternal grandparents, Henry C. Smith, Jr. and Dorothy M. Smith of Savannah, Georgia; his aunt, Robyn Williams Gunter and her husband, Donald; his uncles, Benjamin A. Smith and his wife, Heather, and Philip A. Smith; and his first cousins, Faith Gunter, Blair Gunter and Duncan Smith.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dale Willis Williams, and his aunt, Margaret Elizabeth 'Libby' Williams.
A private funeral service will be held Saturday morning, January 29, 2022, at the graveside, Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, conducted by the Reverend William G. Hester.
