Apollo Michael Obore, 57, of Savannah, passed away August 25, 2017 in Savannah, Georgia.



He was born in Atutur-Kumi on October 29, 1959 to William and Faith Obore.



Apollo went to high school at St Leo's Secondary School in Fort Portal, Uganda for O-Level and Kisubi Secondary School in Kisubi-Uganda for A-Level, there after he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Makerere University, Kampala-Uganda.



He worked as a Principle Transport Officer at the Uganda Electricity Board and as a Company Engineer at the Uganda Transport Corporation. He later relocated to Tuskegee, Alabama where he pursued a Master's Degree in Engineering and went on to teach engineering at Savannah High School in Savannah, Georgia. At the time of his death he worked for Coca Cola as a Material Handler.



Apollo is preceded in death by his father, William I. Obore.



He is survived by his wife, Ruth Kabahuma,; daughter, Yvonne Apolot; son, William (Billy)Obore; mother, Faith Asekenye Obore; sisters, Janet Imagoro,?? Grace Otim (Charles), Susan Oryang (George), Christine Oryang (David), Helen Okwi(Emmanuel); Uncle, Dr. Nathan Okia (Grace); and a host of?? other relatives.



Apollo was raised in the Anglican faith where his late grandfather was the Reverend of the congregation he attended, and he was for the most part the quiet observer.



The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all for their prayers on our behalf and their expression of love and comfort and to the Gamble Funeral Service for their love, care and service during his final send off.



The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock Saturday morning, September 2, 2017, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 11 o\'clock Saturday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Obore Family Cemetery in Atuturo-Kumi, Uganda.
