Antonio 'Tony' Paul Piazza died Saturday evening, March 27, 2021, at Hospice House of Savannah following a short battle with cancer.
A Savannah native, he was a graduate of Benedictine Military School and the University of Georgia. He was a board certified Pedorthist, specializing in orthotics and prosthetics. He worked for many years in his family's business, Piazza's Shoe and Foot Care Center.
He was a member of Unity Church of Savannah, a black belt in Karate, a devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan and a lifelong friend of Bill W.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard 'Dick' Columbus Piazza and Muriel Warren Mendel Piazza of Savannah.
He is survived by his brothers, Joseph C. Piazza (Masako) of Las Vegas, Nev. and Richard Mendel Piazza (Susan) of Fairfax, Va.; a son Benjamin Paul Piazza (Kelly) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a daughter, Sarah Piazza Chism (Brett) of Valdosta; grandchildren Grayson and Charlotte Piazza and Hudson Chism and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at Unity Church of Savannah on April 10, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. ' 2320 Sunset Blvd. Savannah, GA 31404.
