SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Annie Madge Hopper Mincey, 95, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Clyde Elma Mincey, died Thursday morning, November 5, 2009, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Portal, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Lazareth Omar Hopper and the late Teresa Ollie Harper Hopper. Mrs. Mincey was of the Methodist faith and retired from retail sales.
Surviving are one daughter, Hilda Mincey Tidwell and her husband, Robert, of Phenix City, Alabama; two sons, Ray M. Mincey and his wife, Mary, of Statesboro, Georgia, and Lynwood O. Mincey of Savannah, Georgia; four grandchildren, Melissa D. Starley and her husband, Steve, Michael R. Tidwell and his wife, Marcey, William "Bill" A. Mincey and his wife, Leslie, and Patricia L. Bishop and her husband, Ronnie, and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Monday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. Jesse J. Smallwood. Interment will be at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in Portal Cemetery.
