SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Ann Toole Parker, 84, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of John Wesley Parker, died Friday morning, May 20, 2011, at Toombs Health and Rehabilitation in Lyons, Georgia.
Born in Emanuel County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late William Cullen Toole and Annie Clifton Toole. Mrs. Parker was a member of East Savannah Church of God for more than 50 years and was a retired sales clerk. She was a devoted Christian who loved her church, her family, and her friends. She loved gardening and the outdoors.
Surviving are her daughter, Elaine Smith and her husband, The Reverend Michael Smith, of Lyons, Georgia; two sons, Bruce F. Parker and his wife, Marcia, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Owen D. Parker and his wife, Joyce, of Savannah, Georgia; one step-son, John Wesley Parker, Jr. and his wife, Sheila, of Darien, Georgia; six grandchildren, Hope Smith, Jason Parker, The Reverend Jonathan Parker and his wife, Meredith, Melanie Parker, Angie Parker Gatewood and Wesley Parker; one great-grandchild, Olivia Grace Parker, and one brother, Moses Toole of Millen, Georgia.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Sunday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Raymond P. Hand, The Reverend Michael Smith and The Reverend Jonathan Parker.  Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park - East.
