Ethel Ann Gilkey Morris, 86, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of George Clinton Morris III, died Thursday morning, June 20, 2013, at Summer Breeze Senior Living and under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Roy H. Gilkey and the late Ethel Rafferty Gilkey. Mrs. Morris was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where she kept the bulletin board and flower chart for many years. She was a graduate of Savannah High School and attended Harris Advertising Art School in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Morris was a homemaker and an avid painter and gardener. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two??sisters, Mary Gilkey Campbell and??Helen Gilkey Corish.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Gilkey Morris and his wife, Laarni, and Pete Clinton Morris, Sr. and his wife, Kathy, all of Savannah, Georgia; four grandchildren, Jena Morris, Zachary Morris, Peter Clinton Morris, Jr., and Bryan I. Morris; one great-granddaughter, Tabbitha Ann Holder; two nephews, Walter C. Corish and his wife, Patty, and Lex Campbell and his wife, Debbie; one niece, Polly C. Hartman and her husband, Pete; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Boylston Morris and one brother-in-law, Stephen H. Morris and his wife, Linda.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
The funeral service will be held at 5 o\'clock Saturday afternoon at St. Paul's Episcopal Church conducted by The Very Reverend William Willoughby III.?? Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.
