Ann Hebert Flaherty, 81, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of TSgt Thomas Edmond 'Tom' Flaherty III, U. S. Air Force (Ret.).
Born in Utica, New York, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Hebert, and was of the Catholic faith.
Ann was a kind, loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to care for children and animals. She loved books, music, baking, and vegetarian food. She practiced yoga when she was younger and enjoyed walking.
Surviving are one son, Thomas E. Flaherty IV and his wife, Wendi, of Surprise, AZ; two daughters, Sarah DeWalt of Savannah and Mary Kimmer and her husband, Eddie, of Rincon; three sisters, Mary A. Hebert, Joan Martino and Susie George and her husband, Keller, and two brothers, Edward Hebert and Daniel Hebert and his wife, Bonnie. She also had five grandchildren, Christopher and Stephanie Kimmer, Carrie Anne and Megan Tidwell, Chloe Flaherty, and a great-grandson, Evan Archer Sepulveda.
A funeral service will be at 5 o\'clock Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Patrick S. O\'Brien. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery with her late husband.
The family visitation will be at Gamble Funeral Service from 4 o'clock until the time of her funeral service and after her service until 7 o'clock.
