SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Alma Lee Bennett, 86, of Savannah, Georgia, died Tuesday morning, October 4, 2011, at her home under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Born in McRae, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Dewey George Bennett and the late Doshie Rogers Bennett. Ms. Bennett was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was a retired model and was the owner and operator of Check Fraud Protection. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Alma Judy Clements, her sister, Leona Clements and her brother, George Bennett.
Surviving are one son, William "Bill" Wallace Clements, Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Savannah; three granddaughters, Donna Marie Harmon, Mary Elizabeth "Lisa" Hunt, Marilee Smith and her husband, Brian; two grandsons, William W. Clements III and Brad Clements; her brother, Ruben Bennett and her sister, Madelyn Carter; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Thomas W. East, Jr. Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park - West.
