Allie Hargett Woods

Allie Lucille Hargett Woods, 65, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Daniel Lamar 'Sammy' Woods, died Thursday evening, July 29, 2021, at her home.



Born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Virgil Ray Hargett and the late Gladys Inez Brock Hargett. Allie was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Pooler. She owned and operated Coverall Painting. Allie was a loving and caring devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Kiser.



Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Daniel Lamar 'Sammy' Woods; one daughter, Sally Rena' Thompson and her husband, Tim; four sons, Billy Dover, James Dover, David Dover, and Timmy Dover; four sisters, Doris Knotts and her husband, the Reverend Roger Knotts, Joyce Ratliff and her husband, Gary, Cathy Grose and her husband, Mike, and Linda Barfield; one brother, the Reverend Virgil Ray Hargett and his wife, Sherry; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Monday, August 2, 2021, at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, August 3, 2021, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by the Reverend Virgil Ray Hargett. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
