Alice Garner Mcneely

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Alice Helen Garner McNeely, 78, of Savannah, Georgia, died Saturday evening, July 25, 2009, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Tennille, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late William Andrew Garner and the late Mary Berta Ward Garner. Alice was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she attended Mary Sheehan's Sunday School Class. She retired as the office manager for Suburban Propane. Alice adored her grandchildren and her cat, Smokey, and also loved watching soap operas.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Kate Garner, and a brother, Jerry Lee "Uncle Bill" Garner.
Surviving are two daughters, Denise Griffis and her husband, Danny, of Jesup, Georgia, and Donna Hargraves and her husband, Robert, of Houston, Texas; one son, Dennie F. McNeely, Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Savannah, Georgia; three grandchildren, Chae Clark and her husband, Steven, Jordan Harvey and her husband, Jordan, and Andrew Jason Griffis; three great-grandchildren, Schyler Clark, Ava Clark and Wesley Tripp Harvey, and several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in Southside Baptist Church.  Interment will be private.
