Alfred 'Al' Irwin Frank, 94, of Savannah, Georgia, and husband of Francine Frank, died Sunday morning, May 9, 2021, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Bronx, New York, he was a son of the late Samuel David Frank and the late Emma Zaconsky Frank. Al entered the United States Army and served as a demolition expert in Italy and Persia during World War II. He enjoyed sailing, being around people, and loved to have a good time. Al was a loving and empathetic man who always had a sparkle in his eye and brightened up any room. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bernard Frank.??
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Francine Frank; son, Steven Frank (Barbara); daughter, Linda Novack (Steven); grandchildren, Jared Frank (Leann), Brooke Amo (Anthony), Allison Badger (Andrew), Adam Novak (Lauren), Evan Novack (Elizabeth), Craig Novack (Becky) and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will take place at 2 o'clock, Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Robert W. Haas.
