Alan Blake Matthews, 54, of Savannah, Georgia, died Saturday morning, October 22, 2022, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and raised in Savannah, he was a son of Barbara Ann Ragan Matthews and the late Rondall 'Ron' Ray Matthews. Alan was a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church and owned and operated Dent Werx II. Alan loved shooting so much in fact, that he was a United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) nationally ranked competitive shooter. Alan also loved his family, racing and riding his bike, working out, and traveling.
Survivors include his daughter, Shelby Blake Matthews; his mother, Barbara Ann Ragan Matthews; his brother, Jeffrey 'Jeff' Scott Matthews (Rochelle); three nieces, Kelly Ann Matthews, Emily Gandy, and Grace Gandy, and his nephew, Kyle Thomas Matthews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening, October 27, 2022, at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
