Alan Darryl Lee passed away August 6, 2015 at Hospice Savannah.
Alan grew up in the military and lived in many places both in the states and overseas during his father's military career. He was a Vietnam Veteran, and settled in the Northern Virginia area after his service. He was employed at the U. S. Postal Service until his retirement to Savannah.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Howard Lee, and his daughter, LaTanya Lee Thomas.
His survivors are his wife, Marian Ellis Lee of 42 years; his mother, Esther McCoy Lee; his two sons, Edward T. Lee and wife, Maegan, and Steven A. Lee and wife, Danielle. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren ' Derrick Lee, Darren Lee, Taryn Kosinski, Ellis Lee, Nathaniel Lee, Farad Lee, Amar Lee, Owen Lee, Jordan Thomas and Alaisha Lee. He also leaves his only sibling, Sandi Lee-Williams; a special cousin, Allena Lee-Brown and husband, Albert, and a number of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday, August 13, 2015, in Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina.
