Ahmad Shamsiddin, 60, of Savannah, died Tuesday evening, September 13, 2016, at Candler Hospital.
Born in Savannah, he was a son of Epluribus Allen and the late Aileen 'Peggy' Green Allen. Ahmad was a truck driver for the I.L.A. He enjoyed playing checkers, sports and watching Westerns.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jafar Shamsiddin.
Surviving are one daughter, Shafeequah Jones and her husband, Maurice, of Savannah; one son, Jameel Shamsiddin of Savannah; his daughter-in-law, Angela Shamsiddin of Atlanta; five granddaughters; two sisters, Ann Childers and her husband, Julius, and Jacquelyn Green; two brothers, Darrell Allen and Frederick Allen, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The prayer service will be at 1:45 Friday afternoon in the Islamic Center of Savannah ' 1030 Dutchtown Road. Interment will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
