Abram Morris Rubin, 78, of Savannah, Georgia and widower of Barbara Haskins Rubin, died Thursday morning, March 17, 2016, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late Irving Rubin and the late Madeline Sadler Rubin. Mr. Rubin was a lifetime member of Congregation Agudath Achim and a past president of the Chevra Kadisha. He was president of A. F. King and Son Realtors.
In addition to his wife of almost 50 years and his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Rubin.
Surviving are one daughter, Robyn Aston and her husband, Bruce, of Marietta, Georgia; two sons, Steven A. Rubin and Craig B. Rubin and his wife, Julie, all of Roswell, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Adam Aston, Genna Aston, Heath Aston, Kaylah Rubin, Harris Rubin, Jessica Rubin, Isabella Rubin and Evan Rubin; one sister, Elise Shernoff and her husband, Victor, of Savannah, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Nina Hershon and her husband, Lee, of Charleston, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to thank Rosa Roberts, Ruby Davis, Dorothy (Dot) Brown Williams, Ethel Fripp, and Doreen Smith for taking care of Mr. Rubin.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Sunday at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Moshe Silberschein.
